What is Skin Tag?
Skin tag are little, soft, skin-coloured growths that over time may start to appear on your skin. They can somewhat resemble a wart.
They are very common, benign, and can vary in colour and size, from a few millimetres up to 5cm (roughly 2 inches) wide.
Skin tags are often found on the neck, armpits, around the groin, or under the breasts. They’re also able to grow on the eyebrow or under the folds of the buttocks.
Skin tags are made from loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by the epidermis.
Is skin tag removal treatment right for me?
Skin tags are harmless and do not cause pain or distress.
However, you might think about having a skin tags removal treatment whenever they are affecting your self-esteem, or should they snag on clothes or jewellery and bleed.
What happens once I have the skin tag removal treatment
When performing a skin tag removal treatment you will be zapped several times with an intense light. The sensation is sometimes similar to a sharp flick of a hot elastic band but barely noticeable.
Once the skin tag removal treatment is complete, the region may appear slightly pink for a short time. more often the skin tag will come off instantly at the time of the treatment, and sometimes it may take several days until it falls off.
What to Consider?
We wouldn’t recommend that you have treatment immediately before a significant event, like a wedding. Although most clients fully cure within a couple of weeks, we advocate having treatment three months before to be on the safe side.
